The luxurious feel and comfort that it provides makes it a popular choice when it comes to bedrooms, home theatre, recreational rooms and some living areas. Though it is great in cold climates and absorbs sounds well, it also easily shows wear and tear, fades on direct sunlight, collects dust and absorbs odor making them more appropriate for areas with less traffic.

Tiles

Ceramic, stone and porcelain tiles are available, coming in a very wide variety of sizes, shapes and designs. Tiles are durable, fireproof and require low maintenance. This flooring type can be used in all areas of the home but are more popular choices for kitchens, bathrooms and dining areas. Traditionally, vinyl has been a popular choice for baths and kitchens. Its resilient nature provides more bounce whenever dishes or glasses drop on it, preventing breakage.

Timber

This highly durable flooring type that comes in a variety of wood species and styles is probably the most attractive, giving your homer a much stronger selling point. Coming in floating floors, solid planks and parquet designs, this can be appropriate for areas such as the dining place, bedroom, living area, hallways and stairs.

Laminate
